We are hiring for the position of Security Officer at the University level, with a starting pay of $19.75 .

Responsibilities and Requirements

1. Maintain a safe and secure environment by actively monitoring premises and patrolling various locations.


2. Enforce rules and regulations related to personnel, visitors, and the area.


3. Provide excellent customer service and information to clients' employees and visitors.


4. Respond to incidents, write reports, and communicate via radio.


5. Stand for prolonged periods and be flexible with scheduling to provide additional coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• Active Connecticut State Guard Card (preferred)


• Reliable transportation


• High School Diploma or GED


• At least 2 years of security experience (Military/Law Enforcement experience may substitute)


• Calm, polite, and professional demeanor


• Self-motivated and reliable


• High level of customer service skills

Additional Information

University Security Officers should be able to stand for extended periods, respond to calls via radio, and interact with patrons. Flexible availability is required to assist with extra coverage.
