Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced System Administrator to join our team. As a System Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining and managing the company's computer systems, networks, and servers. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the overall functionality and reliability of our IT infrastructure, troubleshooting issues, implementing security measures, and providing technical support to end-users. The ideal candidate has a strong background in systems administration, a solid understanding of network protocols, and is able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software applications, and system management tools.
  • Monitor and optimize system performance, ensuring high availability and reliability.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as data backups, software updates, and hardware upgrades.
  • Troubleshoot system and network issues, identify root causes, and implement appropriate solutions.
  • Ensure data security and integrity by implementing and maintaining backup and recovery strategies.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights, and provide technical support to end-users.
  • Collaborate with other IT team members to develop and implement IT policies and procedures.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, and make recommendations for system improvements.
  • Conduct regular system audits to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven experience as a System Administrator or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
  • Proficiency in network protocols, routing, and switching.
  • Experience with backup and recovery solutions.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator, CompTIA A+) are a plus.
