The Senior Federal Military Planner will support installation and regional planning efforts for DoD clients. This role is ideal for a mission-driven professional with deep experience in military planning processes, including Installation Development Plans (IDPs), DD1391 preparation, Future Base Design, and area development plans. You will lead multidisciplinary planning efforts, engage directly with government stakeholders, and ensure alignment with strategic facility planning goals.

• Lead and manage complex planning projects for DoD installations (CONUS/OCONUS).
• Develop and review planning products such as Installation Development Plans (IDPs), Area Development Plans (ADPs), Site Compatibility Plans, and Facility Planning Documents.
• Coordinate with NAVFAC, USACE, and other DoD agencies to support project scoping, programming, and planning.
• Prepare or oversee development of DD1391s and support programming documentation aligned with mission requirements.
• Conduct site analysis, stakeholder interviews, and data synthesis to support planning recommendations.
• Mentor junior staff and provide QA/QC on planning deliverables.
• Attend and present at stakeholder meetings, charrettes, and planning workshops.
• Support internal project management, budgeting, and scheduling activities.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Urban Planning, Architecture, Engineering, Geography, or related field.
• 8–12+ years of experience in military installation planning or related federal planning work.
• Deep knowledge of DoD and NAVFAC planning processes, UFCs, and PPBE cycle.
• Experience with GIS and planning visualization tools (ArcGIS, SketchUp, Adobe Suite, etc.).
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• PMP, AICP, or RA licensure is a plus.
• Ability to travel (10–20%) as needed.
