Currently seeking an innovative Senior Marine Engineer with a mechanical engineering background who is passionate about and experienced in subsea technology with a desire to contribute to groundbreaking projects.

The Company

  • The company has developed the world's first hybrid axis modular waterpower technology that harnesses the kinetic energy from both the velocity and the weight in flowing water, found in rivers, canals, and oceans.
  • Seeking a Senior Marine Engineer who will lead a small team of engineers and handle U.S. Special Boat Systems and the maritime surface.

The Compensation

  • $180,000 - $240,000 Annual Base Salary Range Commensurate with Experience and Location; Eligibility for Variable Equity

  • 100% Fully Onsite Position based at the Company Headquarters based near St. Paul, MN

The Role

  • Lead the development of systems and components designed for operation in extreme underwater conditions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product functionality, safety, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Develop and refine operational procedures and regulatory documentation for subsea technologies.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
  • Engage in hands-on prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting of underwater systems.

The Background Profile

  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Eligibility for Security Clearance
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Marine, or a related Engineering field; relevant Master's Degree a plus
  • Minimum 7+ years of professional expertise in subsea engineering specifically with turbines, motors, or engines designed for underwater environments
  • Prior experience working with Unmanned Underwater Vehicles (UUVs) or specifically Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs)
  • Experience with marine or hydrokinetic systems, components or technologies
  • Proven ability to design, build and test mechanical systems, sub-components and parts that operate underwater
  • Proficiency with CAD Software (e.g. SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and 3D Solid Modeling
  • Familiarity with Matlab, LabView, MathCAD and Finite Element Analysis applications
  • Strong technical writing skills for regulatory and procedural documentation
  • Ability and willingness to be based and work fully onsite in the Company's Headquarters near St. Paul, MN
