We’re hiring a Senior Project Manager / Operations Manager based in San Antonio, TX , who thrives at the intersection of environmental science, project leadership, and operational execution. Position: Senior Project Manager / Operations Manager

Location: San Antonio, TX (Candidates must reside in or near San Antonio)

Job Type: Full-time

Salary Range: Base $110,000 – $125,000/year (based on experience and certifications) with additional compensation through a bonus structure.

What You'll Do

  • Build and maintain client relationships, ensuring quality deliverables and repeat business
  • Lead and manage complex environmental consulting projects from start to finish
  • Oversee all field and office operations for the San Antonio region
  • Ensure all activities align with Texas regulations and industry standards
  • Direct project teams, assign responsibilities, and monitor schedules, budgets, and deliverables
  • Provide mentorship and performance management to staff and subcontractors
  • Develop project scopes, estimates, timelines, forecasts, and resource plans
  • Conduct regular site visits, operational reviews, and client check-ins
  • Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and external stakeholders
  • Take ownership of health and safety practices on every job site

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline
  • 8+ years of experience in environmental project management, remediation, and compliance
  • Strong knowledge of Texas environmental regulations
  • Experience with Phase I and II ESAs, groundwater/surface water sampling, and remediation planning
  • Proven experience with budgeting, forecasting, and contract negotiation
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft 365, project management software, and digital reporting tools
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship available)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certifications (PE, PG, PMP, CHMM) are strongly preferred
  • OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification
  • Experience with multi-site or regional operations oversight
