Property Management & Acquisitions Internship Program
Program Objectives:

• Provide hands-on experience in the day-to-day operations of property management.
• Offer real-world exposure to tenant relations, lease administration, and property oversight.
• Train interns on property management software, communication strategies, and compliance protocols.
• Develop a talent pipeline for future full-time property management roles.
• Assist company in developing new acquisition leads or new multifamily or commercial properties. Use excel to model returns and pro-forma (IRR, NPV, etc).

Program Structure

• Duration: 8–12 weeks (with potential for extension or hire)
• Schedule: Part-time (15–25 hours/week), flexible around school or other commitments
• Compensation: Paid
• Location: On-site with occasional remote admin work possible

Intern Responsibilities

• Assist with tenant communication (phone calls, emails, notices).
• Help prepare and process lease agreements, renewals, and move-in/move-out paperwork.
• Support scheduling and tracking of maintenance requests and property inspections.
• Update property management software with tenant and property data.
• Sit in on leasing appointments, property tours, and vendor meetings to observe and learn.
• Help organize digital and physical records, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.

Learning Outcomes
By the end of the internship, interns will:

• Understand lease structures, tenant rights, and property management processes.
• Gain hands-on experience using industry-standard property management software.
• Develop professional communication and customer service skills.
• Learn how to handle real-world issues that arise in managing residential or commercial properties.
