Summary: The Physical Security Project Manager (PM) ensures that the security operations of an unarmed guard security staff are managed efficiently, while complying with all contractual and legal obligations, and meeting the expectations of the government client. The role requires a strong mix of leadership, communication, and organizational skills. This work will be performed in various locations in Washington, DC and Northern Virginia. Responsible for promoting and encouraging a culture of compliance with all applicable federal, state, local, Federal Acquisition Regulations, Code of Federal Regulations, Prime Contract requirements, etc.) for themselves and the company. This Individual will foster an environment in which they will report any violations or reasonable suspicion violation of MEES/Miami Federal policy, FAR, and/or CFR and are comfortable discussing the myriad compliance, conflict, FAR, CFR, etc. issues that arise during the performance of a government contract. The PM shall have the authority to accept inspection reports, and all correspondence on behalf of the Contractor. The PM will have the overall responsibility for implementing, monitoring, and upgrading the Contractor's Quality Control Plan and is responsible for ensuring that the Contractor's workforce complies at all times with the Contract’s requirements. The PM must completely understand the operational requirements of this Contract, including: Functions of both the unarmed security guards and supervisory staff Location(s) of service Method of operation and equipment required at each Security Post / Screening Site Contents of general and specific post orders The PM should conduct regularly scheduled meetings with the COR to continually evaluate security officer performance and review operational procedures. The PM will meet with the CO and the COR to discuss contract issues on an as-needed basis. The PM shall be available during normal working hours (0800 - 1630) within 30 minutes by telephone to discuss problem areas. After normal duty hours or on weekends and holidays, the PM shall be available by telephone within two (2) hours. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Requires a Bachelors degree with three (3) years of supervisory experience and two (2) years of prior contract managerial experience. OR High school diploma/GED with seven (7) years of experience with three (3) years of supervisory experience and two (2) years of prior contract managerial experience. JOB SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: Must provide a resume reflecting technical knowledge of common security guard screening equipment and experience with maintaining an adequate staff. Must have technical knowledge of x-ray machines, handheld and walk through magnetometers, explosive trace detection systems, and identifying dangerous/deadly objects in baggage or on persons similar in magnitude and complexity to this Contract. Must have experience performing contract administrative functions in order to continuously maintain an adequate staff with suitable expertise to assure work is completed in accordance with contract requirements. This may include, but is not limited to, hiring, firing, payroll, uniforms, dosimeter usage and tracking, training, certification tracking, scheduling of normal operations and special events, as well as ensuring and maintaining the Quality Control Plan. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Advanced Can produce clear, well-structured text on complex subjects, showing controlled use of organizational patterns, connectors, and cohesive devices. Can interact fluently and spontaneously without obvious searching for expressions. Can communicate professionally and handle business-related tasks such as writing reports, giving presentations, and participating in meetings.
