Payroll Specialist Iron Mount, MI
HYBRID : M-Wed in office, Th/Fri Remote
Responsibilities:
• Process weekly payroll for both union and non-union employees
• File federal and state payroll taxes
• Upload retirement plan and HSA contributions
• Track wage changes per union contract
• Manage IBEW trust accounts
• Manage FMLA time
• Maintain employee files in ERP system
• Track vacation and sick leave accrual for all employees
• Post cash receipts daily
• Run accounts payable checks weekly
• Process accounts payable vouchers as needed
• Willingness to work overtime as needed
Education: Associate's Degree in Accounting preferred
Experience: Minimum three years of office experience in Accounting, with one year of payroll experience preferred
Skills:
• Experience with payroll processing
• Proficient in MS Office Suite
• Good communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• High level of attention to detail
• Ability to work with individuals throughout the organization
• Previous experience with handling sensitive and confidential information
