Job Title : Material Coordinator

\n\n

Summary :
\nThe Material Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the receipt and dispatch of materials, components, parts, and pieces required for the assembly and manufacturing processes according to production schedules and manufacturing priorities. This role ensures that components and materials are supplied to various workstations, enabling operators to perform their tasks efficiently. The Material Coordinator is also responsible for maintaining control and integrity of inventory levels of materials used in manufacturing processes while adhering to environmental policies, procedures, and supporting departmental environmental objectives.

Duties & Responsibilities :

1. \n\t

   Material Receipt and Storage :

   \n\n\t \n\t\t
2. Receive and store materials following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to ensure product integrity.\n\t\t
3. Prevent mixing of components and facilitate the delivery and handling of raw materials, office supplies, and materials to workstations.\n\t\t
4. Receive lots of products from manufacturing according to the work plan and segregate/distribute them according to FIFO (First In, First Out) and/or established priorities.\n\t\n\t\n\t
5. \n\t

   Material Dispatch :

   \n\n\t \n\t\t
6. Dispatch raw materials, office supplies, and materials to each area.\n\t\t
7. Maintain inventory levels of raw materials and processing supplies required in manufacturing according to the established Kanban system.\n\t\t
8. Transport materials between departments manually or using hauling equipment.\n\t\t
9. Configure batches of products to be sterilized when required.\n\t\n\t\n\t
10. \n\t

    Inventory Management :

    \n\n\t \n\t\t
11. Perform material counts as required by the Cycle Count program and generate reports in SAP or other systems to identify discrepancies.\n\t\t
12. Participate in and execute corrective actions as necessary to meet established Cycle Count metrics.\n\t\n\t\n\t

    Material Requisition and Acquisition :

    \n\n\t \n\t\t
14. Prepare requisitions for materials using established forms (e.g., Stock Transfer Document).\n\t\t
15. Coordinate the acquisition of materials and equipment with the Buyer and follow up on purchase orders, reporting any issues to the Area Supervisor.\n\t\n\t\n\t
16. \n\t

    Inventory Adjustments :

    \n\n\t \n\t\t
17. Prepare and submit material inventory adjustments through Material Inventory Transactions (MITs).\n\t\n\t\n\t
18. \n\t

    Clothing Management :

    \n\n\t \n\t\t
19. Receive, organize, distribute, and block clothing required for controlled areas.\n\t\n\t\n\t
20. \n\t

    Reusable Materials :

    \n\n\t \n\t\t
21. Collect and send reusable materials to corresponding suppliers for applicable products\n\t\n\t\n\t
22. \n\t

    Compliance and Efficiency :

    \n\n\t \n\t\t
23. Ensure compliance with material efficiency, safety, quality, and financial goals of the organization.\n\t\n\t\n\t
24. \n\t

    Training and Leadership :

    \n\n\t \n\t\t
25. Responsible for training on operations established in the training plan and actively participate in team meetings, contributing to problem-solving and data analysis.\n\t\t
26. Motivate and provide effective leadership to maintain high levels of productivity and efficiency.\n\t\n\t\n\t

    Equipment Utilization :

    \n\n\t \n\t\t
28. Safely and effectively utilize necessary equipment and tools (e.g., scanning equipment, shrink wrap, ladders) while maintaining proper housekeeping standards for a clean and conducive environment.\n\t\t
29. Anticipate and solve emerging situations to maintain a safe environment.\n\t\n\t\n\t
30. \n\t

    Flexibility and Prioritization :

    \n\n\t \n\t\t
31. Maintain flexibility to juggle priorities based on daily volume and time frame requirements.\n\t\n\t\n\t
32. \n\t

    Special Projects :

    \n\n\t \n\t\t
33. Perform special projects as directed by the Supervisor/Manager.\n\t\n\t\n\t
34. \n\t

    Communication and Culture :

    \n\n\t \n\t\t
35. Facilitate communication with associates and create a Credo-based environment.\n\t\n\t\n\t
36. \n\t

    Policy Compliance :

    \n\n\t \n\t\t
37. Ensure that correct policies and guidelines are followed to maintain compliance with all regulatory and corporate policies (Health, Safety, and Environmental Standards, etc.).\n\t\n\t\n

\n\n

Experience & Education :

\n\n

\n\t
• High School Diploma or equivalent.\n\t
• One years of experience in a manufacturing-related environment.\n\t
• Warehouse, shipping, and/or inventory control experience preferred.\n\t
• Experience in the Medical Device industry is preferred.\n\t
• Knowledge of FDA/GMP regulatory or quality assurance experience is a plus.\n
