We are looking for a licensed attorney in Florida to join our team to assist Attorney Mendez to communicate with clients directly, analyze cases, research and draft legal documentation associated with U.S. immigration cases. We are looking for someone who loves working with immigrants as much as we do! A successful candidate will have excellent writing, research and analytical skills to assume responsibility in an active and diverse immigration practice. An applicant must be fluent in both English and Spanish.
Here at Michael Mendez, P.A. we want to provide you with the ability to grow and learn. Accordingly, your role will encompass several responsibilities including but not limited to client development, attending interviews with clients at USCIS, representing clients at both Master and Individual hearings before the EOIR and the managing of staff to ensure proper handling of your caseload. This role requires the ability to efficiently work from home while still having the ability to come into the office and handle in person matters wherever they may be. Qualifications
• Licensed Lawyer in U.S., preferably active membership in good standing with the Florida Bar;
• 1+ years of immigration legal experience;
• Fluency in Spanish;
• Exceptionally strong communication skills;
• Strong research and writing skills;
• Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, and able to work well under deadlines; and
Hybrid 40 hours per week during standard business hours.
