Description

Lead food safety and quality control efforts at a food company.

1. Develop, implement, and maintain food safety and quality management systems in compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies and procedures.


2. Manage the team, acting as an influencer and leader regarding the highest standards of food quality and safety.


3. Conduct internal audits and inspections of food manufacturing processes, ensuring potential issues are identified, and corrective actions are taken promptly.


4. Analyze data and trends to identify opportunities for process improvements, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement solutions.


5. Provide training and coaching to employees on food safety and quality best practices, ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies.


6. Manage customer complaints related to food safety and quality, ensuring quick and effective resolution.


7. Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies, industry organizations, and stakeholders to stay current on industry trends.


8. Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to food safety and quality, ensuring company goals are met or exceeded.

Requirements

M.S. Degree in Food Science or Food Safety; one year of experience supervising FSQ teams; managing food safety and QA for dairy and egg-based products; implementing food safety and QA components of ERP systems; ensuring compliance with GFSI standards. HACCP and PCQI certifications.

Salary Range : $120,000 - $140,000.
