Position Overview:

Rockwoods is looking for an experienced Data Analyst to join our contract team supporting a prestigious federal agency. This role offers the chance to work alongside a dynamic team and contribute significantly to a critical mission. Applicants must be local to Huntsville, AL , and be willing to work on-site at Redstone Arsenal .

Security Clearance

• Active Secret clearance is required.

Key Duties:

• Conduct complex data mining, statistical modeling, trend analysis, and root cause investigations.
• Act as a technical subject matter expert, overseeing the creation and submission of monthly contract performance reports and deliverables.
• Collaborate across multiple disciplines within an operations research team, ensuring methodologies are clearly communicated and actionable by operational leaders.
• Implement and oversee quality assurance processes to maintain high standards across all analytic outputs.
• Develop, update, and deliver training programs that help onboard new team members with essential analytic tools and procedures.
• Synthesize both structured and unstructured data into comprehensive analysis products tailored for contracting and business functional areas.
• Utilize pattern recognition and predictive analytics to generate strategic recommendations for leadership based on operational data insights.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 8 years of technical experience in a related field.
• Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in a relevant discipline required.

Skills and Expertise:

• Advanced proficiency with Power BI , ideally with experience as a Power BI Consultant .
• Ability to guide senior Department of Defense (DoD) stakeholders through the interpretation of data-driven insights and operational research findings.
• Familiarity with tools and platforms such as the Logistics Management Program , Vantage , Virtual Contracting Enterprise , GFEBS , SAP Business Objects/Web Intelligence Reports , Microsoft SharePoint , and Army-specific systems like PD2 and PADDS .
• Strong background in data manipulation, statistical analysis, and complex problem-solving.
• Technical skills across multiple platforms, including SQL , Python or R , data visualization, and data preparation techniques.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and analytical thinking skills.
