About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Operating Officer to play a pivotal role in reinforcing its ambitious and accountable organizational culture. The successful candidate will be responsible for effective team management, project planning, and will lead on organizational finance and overall people operations. This includes acting as the chief problem-solver to the CEO and VP team, supporting strategic planning, and managing a range of staff and consultants. The COO will also be a strategic leader in finance, guiding bookkeeping, cost and revenue projections, and department budgeting, and will oversee the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding processes, as well as implement DEI and other culture trainings. Applicants for the COO position at the company should have a fast-paced, exceptional intelligence, and be comfortable with risk. Significant political experience is a requirement, as is leadership experience in a growing tech or consulting firm, particularly in the political, social, or civic sectors. The role demands a candidate with a highly quantitative mindset, experience in managing managers, and a strong background in financial and HR management. Nice-to-haves include experience in strategy consulting, marketing, SMS, management training, or coaching, and political or 501(c)(4) fundraising. The ideal candidate will be adept at using analytics to guide business functions and will be instrumental in supporting the organization's digital workplace and remote collaboration.
