Position Overview:

Therapy Insight Practice is seeking an experienced and Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) to join our dynamic team. This position is ideal for a seasoned professional with considerable experience in direct client care, leadership, and supervision. The successful candidate will be eager to grow with our practice and actively engage in developing and implementing mental health programming to meet our clients' needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment plans for clients.
  • Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications, ensuring appropriate follow-up and monitoring.
  • Engage in direct client care, including individual therapy, medication management, and crisis intervention.
  • Lead and supervise a team of mental health professionals, providing guidance and support.
  • Develop and implement mental health programs tailored to the needs of our diverse client base.
  • Participate in case consultations and collaborate with multidisciplinary team members.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with all regulatory and practice standards.
  • Stay current with best practices and emerging trends in psychiatric treatment, particularly those relevant to the LGBTQIA community and substance use disorders.
  • Potentially administer and oversee innovative treatments such as Ketamine therapy or similar modalities, if experienced.
Qualifications:

  • Active NYS - Board Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) Licensure. Must be licensed to practice in New York.
  • ANCC board certification
  • Active NYS DEA registration.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in psychiatric nursing, with a focus on direct client care.
  • Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience in a clinical setting.
  • Expertise in working with LGBTQIA clients and individuals with substance use disorders and general mental health conditions.
  • Experience with or strong interest in Ketamine treatment or other innovative psychiatric modalities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and patient-centered approach.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in program development and implementation.
  • Advanced training or certification in Ketamine therapy/Substance use treatment/mental Health Disorders or similar treatments.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
