Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Mechanical System Design & Analysis Engineer to support the MQ-25 Platform Systems team in Berkeley, MO.

MQ-25 is the next generation autonomous tanker being developed by Boeing for the US Navy. It will be the first autonomous platform in the Navy carrier environment & the selected candidate will have an opportunity to be part of the team delivering that capability to the warfighter. In this role, you will be part of the team developing mechanical systems for the MQ-25 air vehicle.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Support development of the MQ-25 aircraft hydraulic system

  • Support development and modification of mechanical and fluid system installations

  • Assist in preparing technical documents for hydraulic components and systems

  • Work with sub-tier suppliers to define, develop, and test hydraulic system components

  • Support testing of the MQ-25 hydraulic system in both the lab and aircraft environments

  • Work under general supervision

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

  • 2+ years of working experience with a Bachelor’s OR with a Masters degree

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with hydraulics systems & components

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
