We are seeking a qualified and experienced UAS (Unmanned Aerial System) Drone Pilot to operate drones for precise pesticide application in agricultural fields. The primary purpose of this role is to safely and efficiently apply pesticides using drone technology, ensuring targeted treatment of crops while minimizing pesticide waste and environmental impact. The UAS Drone Pilot will work closely with farm managers and agronomists to monitor pest activity, optimize application methods, and enhance overall crop protection. Key skills include FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate, ability to obtain FAA Class III medical certificate, experience in operating UAS in agricultural applications, understanding of agricultural practices, and preferred licenses such as Qualified Applicator License (QAL) or California DPR certifications. Responsibilities include operating agricultural spray drones per FAA regulations, conducting pre-flight checks, handling and loading pesticides, collaborating with agricultural professionals, maintaining UAS equipment, monitoring weather conditions, keeping detailed records, assisting in protocol development, and staying updated on drone technology and regulations. The role requires strong communication, collaboration, attention to detail, safety commitment, a driver's license with clean record, and flexibility to work nights or weekends as needed.
